In 1988, the New Amazons literary group appeared in Russia. For the first time in the long history of the presence of women in literature, female writers declared that there is a female prose.
Collections of women's prose - and there have been more than a dozen of them over the past years - invariably evoked a warm response from critics and readers. Caused controversy. Today it is obvious: women's prose has become an integral part of the modern literary process. Many have joined the voices of the pioneers, including young writers working throughout Russia, as well as those writing in Russian abroad. The latest collections - "Daughters - Mothers", "Russian Women's Decameron", "I Taught Women to Speak" were highly appreciated, and allowed us to say that women's prose entered a new round of development 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ has absorbed dozens of new names and continues to expand our knowledge of the changing world.
